A sustainable soil washing process to extract and eliminate PFAS, PCBs, dioxins, and other persistent toxins from contaminated soil and dewatered sediment.
Extraction and Destruction of PCBs in Soil
We imagine a world where every person has access to clean water, clean food, and clean air.
We work hard to protect underserved communities facing environmental toxins in their land and water.
We are focused on restoring the health and vitality of the environment for all people, including future generations to come.
ecoSPEARS is dedicated to building a better future for all.

PEOPLE NOW PROTECTED FROM FOREVER CHEMICALS
LESS EXPENSIVE THAN TRADITIONAL REMEDIATION METHODS
SPEARS DEPLOYED TO DATE
Sustainability to us is our ability to destroy forever chemicals with a net-zero effect.

Our ecoSPEARS (Sorbent Polymer Extraction and Remediation System) technology is a transformative in-situ green cleanup system for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dioxins, PAHs, DDT, and other persistent toxins from contaminated sediment. ecoSPEARS is a truly sustainable approach using less water, energy, and emissions than traditional cleanup methods.
SPEARS as a Delineation and Monitoring Tool for PBCs and DDx in EPA Region 9
ecoCUBE is an ex-situ industrial wastewater and groundwater remediation technology to treat PFAS, PCBs, dioxins, 1,4-dioxane, and other persistent toxins.

This is not the world we live in today. ecoSPEARS has developed and commercialized innovative technologies for toxic land and waterways requiring revitalization, to serve communities in need of a second chance at a sustainable, healthy, and better life. Our technologies will permanently remove PCBs and other legacy toxins from land and waterways while remaining protective of human health, wildlife, and the environment – all without using harmful chemicals or creating hazardous by-products. Access to clean water, food, and air will determine the sustainability of our future.
On-site solutions - no greenhouse gas emissions through transportation
As we clean the media (soil, sediment, water) we are able to restore it back their natural state
Working with the global community (Stockholm Convention, IPEN, etc) to help eliminate toxins globally in coordination stated 2028 goals
Reusable Materials - SPEARS can be used over and over as can our other technologies -
Providing green jobs to the communities we serve - growing and training a workforce within cleantech through our projects

In 2019, ecoSPEARS joined the United Nations’ PCB Elimination Network (PEN) to assist the Network in meeting its 2028 deadline to eliminate PCB oil stockpiles worldwide. This goal is tied to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the Stockholm Convention and subsequently adapted by the United Nations (U.N.). In conjunction with the U.N., ecoSPEARS is committed to assisting in meeting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by adhering its core business practices to the success metrics of the following SDGs: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well Being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
“PCBs and dioxins are disease-causing toxins impacting millions of people worldwide. According to the United Nations, 90 years later, PCBs are still among the most widespread contaminants globally. We are on a mission to deliver much-needed climate-friendly cleanup solutions.” said Ian Doromal, EVP and Co-founder of ecoSPEARS.
