February 7, 2018 – (New Republic) – Days ago the White House pulled Kathleen Hartnett White’s nomination for Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality due to bipartisan backlash. Now the Senate is pushing for Andrew Wheeler’s nomination to head the EPA should Pruitt leave, succeeding Mike Flynn’s role as Acting Deputy Administrator of the United States EPA. Democrats and environmentalists have yet to speak out.
