NASA tech used to clean up the Anacostia River

WUSA9’s Evan Koslof interviews ecoSPEARS’s Co-founder and CEO, Sergie ‘Serg’ Albino, on the new pilot program for cleaning the Anacostia River. Having spears filled with a reagent that acts like a “sponge” to remove polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) from water sources and sediments, ecoSPEARS intends to clean the environment for good.

“We’re all different but have a focus on essentially saving the planet. As cliche as that sounds, that’s what we’re here for.”
